廣大市民在購(gòu)買消防器材時(shí),，除了查看消防器材廠家的營(yíng)業(yè)執(zhí)照是否合法外,，還要詳查消防產(chǎn)品的外觀。正規(guī)消防產(chǎn)品表面及包裝應(yīng)有清晰,、耐久的標(biāo)志,，包括產(chǎn)品標(biāo)志和質(zhì)量檢驗(yàn)標(biāo)志。產(chǎn)品標(biāo)志應(yīng)包括消防器材生產(chǎn)廠家,、名稱型號(hào),、技術(shù)系數(shù)、商標(biāo)編號(hào)等,。

查看消防器材是否有檢驗(yàn)報(bào)告或認(rèn)證證書,。目前，實(shí)行強(qiáng)制性產(chǎn)品認(rèn)證的消防產(chǎn)品有4類12種,，包括消防車,、火災(zāi)報(bào)警設(shè)備、消防水帶和噴水滅火設(shè)備,。實(shí)行消防產(chǎn)品形式認(rèn)可制度的消防產(chǎn)品有9類,，包括滅火劑、防火門,、消火栓,、消防接口、滅火器,、消防槍炮,、可燃?xì)怏w探測(cè)報(bào)警產(chǎn)品、防火阻燃材料等,。群眾在購(gòu)買消防器材時(shí)要向銷售單位索要相應(yīng)的檢驗(yàn)報(bào)告及認(rèn)證證書,。如果不能提供正式檢驗(yàn)報(bào)告和認(rèn)證證書，其銷售的可能是假冒偽劣產(chǎn)品,。
